Sloan — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sloan mobile application (“Sloan”, “the App”) provided by Softleb (“we”, “us”, “our”). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Sloan is an AI-powered calisthenics coaching app. It generates workout plans, tracks sessions, and provides feedback based on the information you provide during onboarding and your subsequent activity in the app.

Sloan is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have a pre-existing condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Sloan. By using the App you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Subscription, billing, and trial

Sloan is offered on a paid subscription basis through Apple App Store or Google Play. New users may receive a free trial period; the length and terms of the trial are shown in-app at the time of subscription.

  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date through the platform’s subscription management.
  • Pricing. Pricing is shown in-app prior to purchase. We may change prices for future billing periods on reasonable notice.
  • Refunds. Refund requests for App Store or Play Store subscriptions must be made through the respective platform; we do not process refunds directly.
  • Restore purchases. You can restore an active subscription on a new device via the in-app “Restore Purchases” option.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Use the App in any way that could harm or interfere with our systems or other users.
  • Submit false or misleading information that could result in unsafe exercise prescriptions.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose.

5. AI-generated content

Plans, debriefs, and chat responses produced by Sloan are generated by machine-learning models. They may contain errors or unexpected output. You use AI-generated content at your own risk. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is medically appropriate for you, and you should stop or modify any exercise that causes pain or discomfort.

6. Your data

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, and AI-generated outputs specific to your account, are owned by Softleb or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Sloan if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that creates risk for us or other users. You may stop using the App and cancel your subscription at any time.

9. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR DIRECT DAMAGES IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
